Growing Up in Nigeria
My story starts in the vibrant and busy environment of Nigeria. Growing up, I experienced both the highs and lows of life, which instilled in me a sense of resilience and determination. My childhood was marked by the discipline of a structured upbringing, which later became a cornerstone of my professional ethos.
The Boarding School Experience
Attending a boarding school in Nigeria was a pivotal experience for me. It was here that I learned the importance of discipline, time management, and self-reliance. These qualities proved invaluable as I navigated the complex world of financial planning and business ownership in the future.
Migrating to Australia
My decision to migrate to Australia was driven by a desire for better opportunities and a brighter future. The transition was not without its challenges, but my determination and focus on my goals helped me overcome the hurdles of adjusting to a new culture and environment
The Journey to Becoming a Financial Planner
My path to becoming a financial planner was fueled by a passion for helping others achieve financial stability and success. I recognized the immense value of proper financial planning and was determined to make a difference. This passion led me to pursue rigorous training and attain the CFA designation, further solidifying my expertise in the field. For those unfamiliar with the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) program, it is one of the most demanding credentials in the finance world. With pass rates often below 50% for each level and a commitment of around 300 hours of study per level, it requires dedication and perseverance. Studying at the University of Western Australia (UWA)
My educational journey also took me to the University of Western Australia (UWA), where I completed my Master’s and Honours years in Economics, Accounting, and Finance (Investments). UWA provided a solid foundation and broadened my understanding of the financial world. The university is renowned for its high academic standards and rigorous programs, making it an excellent place to prepare for a career in finance.
The Birth of CFV Services
The idea for CFV Services came from my vision of a financial planning firm that truly prioritizes clients’ needs. I aimed to make financial planning accessible and straightforward. CFV Services was founded on principles of transparency, integrity, and a client-first approach, which quickly set it apart in the industry.

My journey also highlights the significant impact of regulatory changes on the financial planning industry. Reforms like those from the Royal Commission have helped clean up the industry, ensuring that only the most ethical and well-trained professionals remain. These changes have made financial planning a more trustworthy and respected profession.
Challenges and Triumphs of Running a Business
Running CFV Services came with its own set of challenges. From navigating the intricacies of business management to building a loyal client base, I faced numerous obstacles. However, my resilience, strategic thinking, and commitment to my vision saw me through. Today, CFV Services stands as a testament to hard work and dedication.
